10.1. Overview

This chapter describes the configuration of the UCM and ULM operational environment:

• Windows system wide parameters are set in the file \windows\ucm.ini.
• License manager parameters are set in the file /etc/ulm.default.
• License information is stored in the file ulm.dat located in the ULM base directory ULM_BASE_DIR.

10.2. System Requirements

a) Unix

• BSD (Berkeley) Sockets.

b) Windows

• Windows 95 or higher.
• Windows NT 3.51 or higher.
• winsock.dll 1.1 or higher (normally included in TCP/IP software products).

10.3. Configuration Limits

Configuration Limits

• Maximum message id: 64 characters.
• Maximum message: 4096 characters.
